Once I closed the gap at the top of the cabinet, then the roll-top could easily glide through the groove. and that caused the roll-top to jam, since the groove was no longer 'true'. Rather than try and retro-fit another plastic liner strip, I just used clear shipping tape over the leading edge corner of the roll-top on each side.Īlso, since the cabinet was pulled away at the left-top-most corner, that little bit of a gap caused the groove in the organ to be somewhat askew. On mine, one piece of this plastic lining was damaged and buckled. Lowrey had lined the groove in each side of the cabinet with a tough, plastic lining glued in it, to keep the roll-top from catching while moving through the curvy parts of the grooves. It wouldn't be too hard to build, just tedious and repetitious. When I took out the roll-top from my Lowrey, I noticed it's just a number of beveled wood slats glued to a sheet of fabric.
